I am continuously invested and curious about the different phases and evolutions relationships go through. How does where we’ve been, where we are, and where we’re going affect the present state we are in. Specifically the spaces in between people: physically, mentally, emotionally, and more. How close, how far, are we from each other? Is there a way to bridge the gap or will it keep expanding?

As an actor, I prefer work that involves open collaboration and mutual understanding. I am hungry for stories involving ensembles, whether they be Choruses (see Bakkhai, The Goblin Woman, and Trojan Women) or a cast of individuals with conflicting and complicated points of view (See Twelfth Night, Marjorie Prime, and A Gape). The pushes and the pulls within a rehearsal container of safety and trust are extremely important to me.

As a playwright, my work involves Yes, the spaces between characters, but also the spaces of time. My main interests include mythology both historical and current (Agoraphobic/Claustrophobic, Entomon, and A Gape), current fears and worries globally (Entomon and egg shells.), personal fears and worries (see Moon and Ghost), the overdramatic that still has a real heart (see Angel Cake), and explorations that are plain nothingness that leave space for levity (see Objective).

As a director (though I am very new to this), I focus on the physical spaces in between characters/forces, paying close attention to what physical contact conveys in a scene (see Ghost and Love and Information).

As a multi-hyphenate creator, I get visually creative with it. I am a fan of black out poetry and enjoy finding new meanings in the already written (see Can You Read Me Halfway?). Lastly, I do write autobiographical stories. However, I find it hard to know when to expose stories to the world or not. My autobiographical writing is private, but does help me become a better artist by acknowledging the past and looking towards the future.

As a person, I am honest and I am imperfect and I care. What my art focus has done is look with fresh eyes on how the world interacts. There are always spaces between, conflict, and misunderstanding. I want to contribute to understand these spaces and move to close them.
