Agoraphobic/Claustrophobic
The myth of Icarus is divided into three parts exploring three essential relationships in a person’s life: familial, romantic, and self. This piece follows Icarus learning how to be their own person. With poetic sometimes heightened sometimes colloquial language, this play lies in our world and something else.

Moon
A short play about closure between two past lovers. Told in a vague and timeless setting, we ask ourselves “where did we go wrong and how can we move on?” This is a very personal and selfish piece.
It has been workshopped in Joe Merlo’s “No Wrong Way to Begin a Play” workshop at Brick Aux and has been published by Active Chapter in their Edition 0: Confessions of Love.
Ghost
A play written, directed, produced(ish), and acted in by me, Olivia Ray. Written in a time of complete devastation and turmoil in my life, it is a disjointed and aimless 40 minute piece. A knight asks a collection of three stars the question: Is there a reason for living?
It was produced by NYU Tisch’s Experimental Theater Wing for their Winter Independent Student Projects 2022. It was directed and written by Olivia Ray.
